The Continental Divide at Cottonwood Pass

I must admit that sometimes I just don't get out to the Gunnison County region that much. Ah but today, while at the summit of Cottonwood Pass, I snapped this well-photographed view of the mountains and scenery in Gunnison County. It works! ;)

As of today (October 6, 2006), Cottonwood Pass is open for vehicular traffic. Typically, the road closes around November 1 or after the first major snowfall of the winter season.
