September 2006 - I have created a tradition of sorts where every Labor Day weekend I invite my friends from all over the country and world to visit me for some fun and adventure in Colorado. One day, we drove through Gunnison County and I snapped a few photos. My friends Laura and Nick (adjacent photo) were visiting from Great Britain and were very impressed with the town of Gunnison. |

We were heading to Ouray and I snapped this photo heading westbound on Highway 50. It was fairly close to the Gunnison County and Montrose County border, and so I can only vouch that the immediate foreground is Gunnison County. ;) |

In Ouray, I noticed Laura's Gunnison, Colorado hat. Again, Laura and Nick seemed really impressed with this town and he briefly raved about it when I interviewed him on my morning radio show in Salida. (106.9 KHEN) You can hear the full one hour radio interview here! |
