I was wandering by car through the towns of Aspens, Carbondale and Redstone, when I looked on my map and realized I wasn't very far from Marble in northwest Gunnison County. |

Now the weather was unusually overcast throughout the afternoon and many of my photos did not come out as well I would have liked. I did get shots of the Marble General Store, the Marble Fire Department building and a nice shot of the mountains on the edge of town. |

Marble is definitely an isolated town in the upper Crystal River valley. There are many large aspen groves surrounding the town that go up towards McClure Pass. |
