Tincup PassOn Tuesday afternoon, I traveled to Tincup Pass with a friend who drove his Jeep up the rocky and bumpy road from St. Elmo. At the Continental Divide, it occured to me that everything just west of the pass was Gunnison County! Tincup Pass is a low point in the Continental Divide that was used as a passage way for those traveling from Tincup to St. Elmo. Today, however, the road leading to the pass is largely used for recreational purposes by hikers, 4-wheelers, campers, ATV'ers and dirt bikers. Here is one more photo. My friend Chris has owned his Jeep for a couple of years
and this was his most intense off-road experience with it! :)
